Salmon trolling gear
Our trolling gear is new Shimano trolling rods and Okuma Coldwater line counter reels for accurate depth control whether we are running downriggers, divers or both.

Fishing Seasons
Descriptions
May
Salmon fishing is heating up and Alaska Kings (Chinook) are the first to arrive. During late May some of the best fishing is still offshore. Halibut and Rockfish are out and about, hungry and ready to pounce.
June
It's prime time to go fishing for Halibut, King Salmon (Chinook), and Rockfish. Bottom fishing is excellent, with Halibut and Rockfish at their peak. Lingcod is not open to harvest until July1st, but there are several species available to book a combination charter.
King stamps are required to be purchased for any angler wishing to take a chance at catching a King.
July
Alaska’s summer fishing season is in full swing, with an abundance of Halibut, Ling cod and Yellow-eye Rockfish. The Silver Salmon are starting their annual migration to fresh water and there are opportunities to pick these up while fishing for Halibut at this time of year. Sockeye and Chum Salmon are returning to the freshwater. Pink Salmon on even numbered years, are in abundance in “The Sound”.
August
Late summer is one of the best times to fish in Alaska. Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish, and Silver Salmon (Coho) are typically on fire.
September
Halibut are still available, as are Ling cod, and Rockfish. Trolling for the mighty Silver Salmon (Coho) is still strong.
Alaska regulations do not permit Halibut fishing on Tuesdays or Wednesdays on chartered vessels. On those days we offer other fishing opportunities for Bottom fish and Salmon when available.
